1. Chaos Theory and Hamiltonian Systems in Physics and Dynamical Astronomy

Phase space geometry of Hamiltonian systems.

Visualization of 4D Poincaré sections for Hamiltonian systems and of 4D phase space of symplectic maps.

Numerical methods for distinguishing between regular and chaotic behavior in Hamiltonian systems.

Diffusion and Lyapunov exponents in Hamiltonian systems.

Phase space transport and invariant manifolds in Hamiltonian systems.

The structure of KAM (Kolmogorov  Arnold  Moser) tori and Arnold diffusion.

Numerical methods for locating periodic orbits  stability and bifurcations of periodic orbits in Hamiltonian systems.

Hamiltonian Hopf bifurcation and complex instability.

Machine learning in Hamiltonian systems.

Differential geometry and topology in chaos theory and Hamiltonian systems.

Celestial Mechanics  perturbation theory  normal forms.

Galactic dynamics  stellar dynamics of barred and disk galaxies.

Regarding this activity, I am a member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), of the Hellenic Astronomical Society and of the Hellenic Mathematical Society. I am also a member of the interdivision commission AF Celestial Mechanics and Dynamical Astronomy of the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
2. History, philosophy and popularization of science.

Philosophy of Mathematics and Physics.

Popularization of Mathematics, Physics, and Astronomy through the historical development, philosophy and the results of the scientific research of these disciplines.
Regarding this activity, I am a member of the British Society for the philosophy of science and member of the commission C2 communicating astronomy with the public, of the commission C3 history of astronomy and of the intercommission C1C3C4 working group for astronomy in culture of the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
